## What WorkBye does

WorkBye is a macOS app that runs in the background and reminds you when your chosen work timeframe is up. It helps you follow through on the work limits you set, without watching the clock.

When you are invested in your work, there is often another task worth doing. WorkBye brings your chosen stopping point back into view while you are focused.

## How it works

1. Choose your work timeframe: decide how much time you want to give work.
2. Focus on your work while WorkBye runs in the background.
3. When the timeframe is up, use the reminder to wrap up your current task and stop.

The website includes an interactive reminder example. It is a website demo, not a running copy of the macOS app.

## Why it was built

WorkBye was built from the founder’s experience of regularly working longer than intended. Choosing a work limit helped make that pattern visible. WorkBye provides a reminder of that decision without another productivity system to manage.
